Re: Me and My Family
P11,I have read and digested all that you say....But,is there any chance that you can agree to a monthly settlement with her, maybe pay a couple of months monies..and then leave the country (on the pretense of having a holiday) after a couple of months and come back home (should things over there become unbearable)..?
Cheers.
Cheers.

I agree with what you say, but that was not the case for me. We were FB friends for about a year before we met and indeed for the first 3 to 4 years life was perfect. What changed? Dont know for sure but she morphed very quickly from LL to WW. It has been suggested she suffered brain damage from her whitening injections or she became obsessed with another guy. I am now past caring but nonetheless deeply saddened how it has turned out trying my best to keep our marriage together.

You only have to remember the saying "As mad as a hatter" and that was caused by the mercury they used to put a shine on the top hats.

The visa run is totally seperate from the exit clearance visa. Anyone who has ( non Filipino) stayed in the Philippines for over 6 months needs an exit visa to leave the Philippines. P11 maybe able to leave ( he would need to seek advice on that issue) even if a court awarded financial penalty was imposed. He could then re- enter the Philippines and continue to pay the financial penalty...........but why not exit, not come back and be shackled by a heavy financial burden ?

Re: Me and My Family
Many whitening products here contain fairly high levels of inorganic mercury, many times the levels that are allowed in most other countries, especially in the Chinese products, there is little or no quality control ( well none that a few $s won't sort out ). The WHO have loads of documents covering the ingestion/use of mercury or mercury products. Adverse health effects of the inorganic mercury contained in skin lightening creams, injections and soaps etc. include: kidney damage, skin rashes, skin discolouration and scarring, reduction in the skin’s resistance to bacterial and fungal infections, anxiety, depression, psychosis and peripheral neuropathy.

But looking at a number of results glutathione, the main substance seemingly used for skin whitening here is said also to detoxify the body from mercury:

I sympathize with his predicament, and have seen others who also went through some what similar situations not understanding the nature of the Philippines.

This is not the case. If you enter the country on a Balik Bayan visa no exit clearance is required and a no fee stay of up to months.

Morpeth.......I rejected all advice for good reason to leave the Philippines as previously stated on numerous occasions. Your last sentence <<<<Plus now with his having his third world experience hopefully if he went to another country things would turn ot better for him.>>>>>> is very condescending ...
Millhouse......My story is completely different to the one you refer. I had a perfectly good marriage and life in the Philippines up until the last couple of years. I tried to save that marriage which i believe most people would try to do. If you had a difficulty in your marriage would you suddenly leave the country?
Regards

As a Westerner in a Third World country my answer is a resounding yes. But then I have extensive experiences in Third World countries, and unfortunately I have seen this game played out time and time again without any winners.
However P11 I do hope you come out of this as a victor.

Tales like this do not often have a happy ending.
She will attack the weak underbelly like a hyena if she sees weakness. The carcass will be split between her and the greedy, corrupt lawyers, who purport to be on our hero's side.
