Piece of string needed! what do you want - so much depends on your lifestyle. Are you talking rent, utilities etc or just food, drink and so on. If you give us a bit more idea of what you're looking for then I'm sure answers will flow from our Makati members. :)

What do you want to rent and what is your budget?

The most expensive after rent in Manila is power, will you want air con? The cost will be reflected in size of unit you want

I have forgotten the websites that you can search for rental property I am sure someone will drop that in for you. Will it be furnished or unfurnished etc. How much are the monthly dues and is that included in the rental etc.

Suggest you start to consider your salary and how much as a % will go to fixed costs.

Some expats in call centers on 35,000pm rent units with power and all costs are under 20,000 pesos a month

They do overtime to cover the extras and air con for many is an extra!!

Manila is a very expensive place to live on a local salary. and 35,000pm is higher by a long way than most locals are earning. Under today's exchange rate close to 600£ pm with overtime can take you up to 800£pm equivalent

Maybe this website can give you some idea, although I can't judge whether the numbers are accurate: https://www.numbeo.com/cost-of-livin...ry=Philippines

the call center will have expats who will probably live in the same block. Suggest you ask the person you are writing to to see if they can assist
