Getting A Driving license in Angeles

Hi,
Ive been staying in the Philippines for almost 2 years now on a holiday visa and we are planning on getting a car soon.
I do not have and UK license or a provisional license. So Im wondering if its even possible for me to get a license and if so what will be required and do i need to do any exams?
I have looked online and i can only see stuff about converting a license or proving that im going to be here for a year which i cant really 'prove' that.
any ideas

Thanks in advance.

In theory you need to be a resident to get a driving licence. In practice you can sometimes obtain one by converting your current foreign licence. Your chances don't seem to good.
