expat teenagers in universities ?
 

Hi,

does anyone have any advice or insight into this? As a family we are considering relocating to Manila and have two teens who are now eligible for university.

From a non financial point of view is this a good or bad idea?

do th universities teach in english? From my research there are a couple of decent universities and it seems the fees are more or less the same for expat kids.

I just dont want to arrive there and find out this was a very bad idea?

Any advice would be great.

Hi i think your English worries will not be a problem maybe American English but as to the cost well who knows. Good luck maybe you will get better answers

I studied at the Ateneo de Manila University in Quezon City. You might want to check that out. Call me biased but it is the best in the country. Another alternative would be De La Salle University in Malate, Manila, or the University of the Philippines which is also in Quezon City.

Our son is about to enter university and we will hold off retiring to the Philiipines until he has finished. Your choice of Philippine university will depend on what future you see you children having. Even the best Philippine university will not hold a candle to a good european university when it comes searching for a job outside of the Philippines or inside for that matter.

well i did hope education would be different but like a Filipino driving licence or passport it aint worth a lot
