My wife of 2.5 years, sees red if I even type the word 'Filipina'. Also, despite marrying me she still insists all guys (including me) are the same.... Any insight into the very strange mind of a typical Philippines female would be greatly appreciated. She's still living there, as we can't fix a visa. Yes so many are. Luckily my wife isn't, but she doesn't like me going out on my own, all the same.

Why don't you concentrate on getting your wife a visa ?

What is stopping you, if you don't mind me asking ?

Your present situation seems a long way from ideal, and certainly not condusive to having a healthy marriage.

Have you considered that the strain that you're both under...being apart for so long (presumably ?) is not helping matters, rather than that ALL Filipinas tend to be jealous and insecure ?

Yes, she's been hurt in the past so I suppose I shouldn't be surprised at the way she is. Also, she doesn't trust other girls there, when I go for visits (next is Jan 14), but does that also mean she doesn't trust me? Probably! Anyway, she's not here in Uk because I don't meet the spouse visa financial requirements, and we can't find an employer to sponsor her.

If you understand the principle physical theory behind the Hadron Collider then you may stand a chance of understanding Filipina women, if not tough just live with it. My wife took insecurity to a whole new level - if she had a dream about me having an affair I would get it both barrels before I got out of bed. Every time the green eyed monster starts to emerge now I just point at a young lad and say he is quite handsome isn't he, she gets confused and I get a quite day.

hahaha , my wife's Thai not Pina but it's kind of similar. I know all about the dream thing. Got into trouble a few times because of what my wife dreamt about. Guess it comes down to insecurities in the subconscious or something like that.

Insecurity and jealousy, another woman will steal you away, all normal. i bear the scars to prove it. Get your wife to apply as a student, it`s pretty much the favoured method. The criteria for spousal visas isn`t realistic in my opinion.
It`s way easier to use an agency this end, (Philippines) as they know the mist effective method.
