Re: Direct State Pension payment
raffin
i have just had a coupe of E mail chats with PNB UK
How does the PNB on line remittance actually work. I see they charge less than BPI at £5.50 for transactions not exceeding 1000£ and if you fail to transfer each month you pay a penalty of 15£ Do you get your pension paid into the PNB Uk bank account and they do a once a month sweep of a nominated amount to a PNB account here?
Thanks

Re: Direct State Pension payment
I gave up the PNB debit card online remittance service a few years ago after it malfunctioned too many times. Anyway now I don't have a UK debit card.
I just have my pensions paid into Lloyds and then send electronically through faster payment what I want that month to their London NatWest bank account, while at the same time emailing them with the information about the deposit, beneficiary etc...twice.
It can get here late evening the next day if you do it early enough and failing that it is nearly always available by late morning of the third day. Recently it failed just once to do that, arriving after 3 days. Six pounds for under a thousand, then goes up.
Well, the debit card method, when it worked took just a few hours. No idea if it still works.
Their customer service is average, but they do eventually respond.
As many have said here the BPI STAR/Express OL is really the best being instant, if you can get in the STAR, but our account has always been with the PNB and where we are the BPI machines are far away.

On another note I now you are local to alabang. SM las pinas now has BI in it and you can renew visa there instead of going to Intramurous Manila.
