Cost of a annulment
Hi my Filipino partner was married at an early age, and has had no contact with her husband in 25 years, we both want her to get an annulment, does anyone know the approximate cost, as we have been quoted 250K php which seems on the high side.
If/when the annulment is finalized, we plan to get married in the Philippines, am I right in thinking I can than apply for 13A visa as we plan to retire there in maybe just over two years. Thanks |
Re: Cost of a annulment
1/ 250,000 is pretty much mid market rate, if anything it seems to be coming down.
When finalised you can marry and apply for a 13a married persons visa |

Re: Cost of a annulment
Be very careful with the lawyer you choose, beware the "kano tax". Ask around for others who have used annulment lawyer. The one I used has long ago retired but he was honest. Even so it took three years to complete. Good luck.

Re: Cost of a annulment
I suspect the cost of annulment will come down even more....if and when divorce becomes legal in the Philippines.

Quick update the annulment was 100% finalized on 1st July, took just over 12 months, and the cost was 250K, as we were quoted by the Lawyer
