Hi,

I will be arriving in manila shortly and I will be setting up all the required bits and bobs. Would be grateful if anyone could recommend a decent broadband provider.

I've lived in the Philippines for the last few years and there are several major providers in Manila and they are:

SmartBro
PLDT(Philippines Long Distance Telephone Company)
Globe Telecom

The Broadband in the Philippines varies in speed from 250Kb to above 1 Mb.

All the providers are about the same. Google their websites and decide for yourself.

i would agree smartbro is good but also globe will be just as good to be honest its like the UK all the proveders offer you the same service and not much difference in quality or speed

I have now settled in and eventually got mydsl with PLDT. Touch wood I have not had any problems as yet.
