Just wondering can I take my ear rifle to the Philippines by Balikbayan Box or is that illegal .
or is there a better way .
Has anyone else done this and could give me any advise?

No wouldn't be allowed and in you are a foreigner it's highly illegal to own a weapon in the Philippines.

Yes they only want locals to own guns, of which there are plenty.. there are some other items on the banned list too... a few have been caught out before assuming it would be ok to bring electric saws etc.. Check which items are banned. The banned list includes pinball machines. Who knew !

Importing chain saws is illegal and to own one here requires a licence.
