Default Adios Skycable

Todays email from Skycable announcing that it close Cable TV operations at the end of February comes as no surprise. Earlier this month I closed our account with them citing six months of intermittent reception coupled with the removal of BBC, Fox Sports and National Geographic channels.

No surprise at all! I cancelled my sky subscription in December 2022 after months of intermittent service, internet going down virtually every day and promises of a engineeer to check and repair never materialising..

Their problems were compounded when Globe pulled out of talks to buy them out. We went with Globe for internet and since December 2022 have had ONE 5 minute outage for which I got an apologetic text and email! We use Cignal for TV and it works fine 99.5% of the time , bit iffy during heavy rainstorm and costs 1000pesos a month for all the channels except sport - don't do sport.
