Last night's Location, Location, Location programme on Channel 4 had Kirstie and Phil helping a couple who are returning from an overseas work assignment in Singapore.

They were looking for a place within an hour commute of London that had some charachter. They wanted a small town/village feel, lots of outside space, period features but close to the station and local pubs. If you live within an hour of London you'll know that this is a big ask!

The search took them to the Kent town of Tunbridge Wells, where I just happen to have lived for a number of years and where Bournes has a local branch, so we were inspired to write this blog about some of the reasons Tunbridge Wells is a great place to live, whether you're working nearby or even commuting to London.
