Default Australia - Rent or buy a house?

Perhaps one of the first in a long line of questions you’ll ask yourself before you move Down Under is whether to take the plunge and buy a house when you get there or simply to rent.
The answer probably depends on a number of circumstantial factors – how long you’re moving for, the budget for the move, whether it’s a corporate move that’s being paid for in full by an employer, if you’re moving as a family or to start one – whatever the reasons behind your move, they will without doubt dictate your future living situation.

If you’re in the early stages of planning your move or are still undecided about what’s best for you, then our guide to buying and renting might help you narrow down your choices…
