Ten years today!
Just posted this on Face book, thought I'd also post here.
Ten years ago today Melanie and I landed in Wellington New Zealand with one night booked in a hotel, no jobs, two cats flying in a few days later, and two containers on boats containing everything we owned. What an adventure!
Now here we are with an awesome 5 year-old daughter, four cats, a puppy coming soon, six chickens, some fish, and several thousand bees on our Kiwi quarter acre section.
Melanie has a new career as a teacher and is still busy accumulating tertiary qualifications. Apparently you can't have too many.
I'm just accumulating car parts. And being a car writer.
And I've become a New Zealand citizen.
We had an awesome, but faulty, dog for eight years (RIP Noodle, we miss you).
Friends and family are a long way away and we miss them all. Sometimes it's hard, especially when people are sick, or you just want to give them a hug :'(
Time zones sometimes make communication tricky but we keep in touch and have had several visitors from the UK, and some great visits back too.
Here's to the next ten years, and the adventures to come.

Lovely post and thanks for the update. Well done on your significant anniversary; it certainly sounds as though your move has been a big success. New Zealand appears to have offered you lots of opportunities, which is always good to hear.
Good luck on the next 10 years!
RIP to Noodles too - always sad when they pass on.
