OMG one year already
This time last year was our last weekend in the UK
Cannot believe what we have done in the last year
1) emigrated to New Zealand
2) brought our 3 dogs our a week later - the MOST expensive part of our emigration by far
3) Neil bought a motorbike
4) bought a Ute, then bought a little 17yr old car for me when we realised we needed more than one in this vast empty country
5) rented a house in an olive grove
6) bought a house with 2.5 acres in the country
7) bought some furnitue
8) Neil decorated the whole house befoer we had 11 UK guests over and
9) GOT MARRIED
10) Neil had two jobs but then the market went quiet
11) bought a New Zeland puppy, Blue Merle Border Collie
12) carried on sorting the garden out
13) bought a Mercedes
14) bought a spa
15) realised the value of tarmac our drive is potholed stone and we need to save up for a proper surface - worried about dropping the bikes - need about $20,000 apparently :?
16) I went to Malaysia for the first time (work)
17) Neil got a really safe and secure job at the port, at long last
18) got PR
Still to do
1) paint the roof - not trivial
2) re-paint the deck
3) paint the garage doors
4) trim endless leylandi hedges (they are a much needed windbreak here)
5) HAVE A HONEYMOON
What shall we do in the next twelve months??
Going out for a lovely meal to celebrate tonight
