By popular demand... lol

Hello everyone, my name's dlmckay and I'm an expat - it's been nearly 9 years since my last visit to Blighty.

ha ha, so updates...

Yes, it was the OH that was trying to become a plumber using the Apprenticeship scheme - unfortunately his idea of studying wasn't the same as mine and despite taking the exam three times (yes... sigh) he failed.

What he also failed on was our marriage - sadly he did some things, got caught, was told not to and was caught again. So now I have the knowledge of the Family Court service :(

I'm now living in a rental as I had to sell the house, still have the dogs, have day-to-day care of the children (because they don't call it custody) and am absolutely loving my life :)

Because I'm a bad immigrant, I haven't assimilated into the kiwi population :o and I've met a rather lovely UK fella and it's been two years since we've met.

I'm self employed now, gave up the office job and am now a homebased childminder, afterschool care manager and agility show secretary. I've never been happier. :thumbsup:

Well done, sounds like it has been a roller coaster for you and your kids. But glad that everything has worked out and loving the attitude.

Wow - what a rollercoaster ride for you. Well done for coming out the other side! Those UK men aren't all bad are they, I nabbed one for myself :wub:
