Traders Hotel - Iskander
Does anyone know when this hotel is due to open? I haven't been able to find anything online. We're eagerly awaiting the opening of Legoland and Traders appears to be well situated near the park.

Yup, a friend told me likely to be end of this year 2012.

actually Thistle hotel is not that far through coastal highway to Legoland.
i believe trader hotel will open earlier to serve the Legoland and Hello kitty land visitors. Dec 2012 is very realistic.

Thank you both. I believe we will wait until Traders opens. Might make a nice New Year break.

In JB itself. It's actually a really nice hotel and handy for the coastal road. (Although to be fair I haven't stayed there - that's where Marlborough were holding their interviews a few months ago and where a lot of the staff had been staying).

Bocat is right, very near to the Sultan's palace. actually it is the only 5 star hotel in Johor level right now.

The Thistle is the old Hyatt Regency Hotel located on Jalan Sungai Chat.

I stayed there for a couple of days before I took the Jungle Train to Kota Bharu & it is a well located hotel for visiting many of the sites of JB.
