I know it's sad that I'm so excited by this (and even more so that it will have an M&S!!!) but in case you hadn't heard Komtar JBCC is scheduled to open on 18th July.

I must be a sad person too then. I would be very excited if M&S opened in Penang. I keep putting suggestions on their Facebook page but they aren't playing ball.

It's one of the few places I can buy clothes here that fit me - so I'm very excited! Maybe Penang will be next on their list. I'm very surprised they're opening in JB!

Yeah I believe it's to be an Angry Birds Theme Park. Can't wait - not!! (However, maybe my kids will be more excited than me!)

We went yesterday... not huge but very nice. Shops more upmarket than many malls... only about one third or so open so far! M&S looks almost ready, but doors still closed.

M&S OPEN! Yahoo!! :thumbsup:

We spent a fortune (but got free cotton bags). New work trousers, underpants, bras, shorts etc. but the main thing.... FOOD! Ok, not the same selection as in the bigger ones, but plenty of sweets (including Devon Toffee!) biscuits, snack food and M&S Coffee Beans!

Wow, my life is sad..... :p

Prices are a bit cheaper than M&S S'pore. Example... work trousers cost MYR139 (SGD 54 ish) but would cost about SGD 70 over there.... can't swear to that as not checked exactly same-for-same. Bottom line is prices are acceptable!

As to the food, I don't care how much it is... it's gorgeous and GM free!

Marks & Spencer is opening soon in Gurney Plaza, Penang :thumbsup::thumbsup::thumbsup: it's about time...

Hmm - not sure! We're still living in a hotel and the kids haven't started school yet. Hoping they'll start on Wednesday.

Can't say I'm blown away by Abu Dhabi so far. The shopping's great though :).

Ask me again in a couple of months once we've settled in a wee bit. Hoping I'll be enjoying it a bit more by then.
