Default Bank officer killed by HSBC security guard

Errk

Reported in the Star Online. In fact it doesn't mention HSBC but, if you zoom into the picture, the logo is clearly seen. This was in Johor.

Looks like the security guard had an argument with the bank officer and then pulled out a knife and killed him. Blimey.

I must say, I always feel a little bit nervy of these bank security guards. For those reading this outside Malaysia, typically the guards carry a pretty hefty gun, and one has to wonder sometimes.

Typically security guards at banks and jewellery outlets here carry what is basically a sawn off shotgun, and they do use them on occasion...

I wonder why this guy used a knife rather than a gun? Maybe some long standing grudge against his victims?

The knife because it was personal?

Does this explain the increased movement from malaysia? Ie safety concerns?
