Temp 457 to ENS visa.....
Hi, could anyone who has done this give any advise please?
I am currently working in perth on a 457 and want to change to ENS asap. I have only been working since december, and ive been qualified for less than a year.
I have alreday trailed through threads on here, and i'm really confused as to whether we would be able to apply for ENS with my limited experience. I have also read all of booklet 5 on Immi website, this section worries me...
'you have been working full-time in Australia in the nominated occupation while holding an eligible temporary residence visa (visa subclasses 457, 418, 422, 428, 421, 444 or 461) for at least the 2 years immediately prior to the lodgment of your visa application, and that you have spent at least the last 12 months employed with your ENS sponsor'.
I know that 'wannabaussie nurse' applied within the year and i'm almost positive that she was newly qualified. Can anyone help? We just want PR asap.
Thanks, Lucy.

Re: Temp 457 to ENS visa.....
Hi Lucy,
Welcome to Perth
Have you approached your manager to ask about ENS visa? That would be my first port of call. Some hospitals support this after 3 months employment other wait until you have worked with them for a full year.
Are you on a graduate programme?

Hey cheekymoo, thanks very much and thanks for reply
I haven't actually approached my manager about it yet...i thought it was a bit too early. Going to wait till my 3 month review and mention it then. Just wanted to know if it was possible, as the experience bit threw me.
Ta Lucy

Hi lulabel, you're right i was newly qualified when I came here and was sponsored for ENS soon after....my memory is not that good but i think there is something about jobs on the skills in demand list that cancels out the 2 year requirment...
