proof of registration with vic nursing board for 175

Hi everyone,
I`m still waiting for my visa to come through and thought I would look into registering with the vic nursing board. Just looking through some old threads and noticed some say that they had to provide proof of their aus nursing board registration before they would grant their visa. Is this the case? If it is then I really did not realise this at all!!
Thought I was fairly up to speed with the process!!
Grateful for any advice please.

Did the CO ask for your registration proof or not?
Would really appreciate any help please

Perhaps those people were applying for a different visa, the employer sponsored visas 457, ENS, RSMS will expect you to be registered before they will grant the visa, I'm pretty positive this is not the case for 175 which requires the ANMC skill assessment (sponsored visas don't usually need the skill assessment - but do want to see the registration)
Hope that makes sense :)

When I did it in 2005 there were 2 ways of doing it.
1.
Get registerd with the board
Do a modified skills assessment
Apply for visa.
Thats what I did.

2.
Do a full skills assessment
Apply for visa
Then at any time apply for board registration.

Think its still the same now.
