Hi there, can anyone explain the nursing pay scale in NZ to me? I have read the NZNO document and seen there are 5 steps and then several bands for senior nurses, but can't quite work out what they mean relative to experience and how you progress up the pay steps?

A lot of the jibs I have looked at don't include any thing about the banding either, just say RN... So i can't tell if is say an equivalent to a band post? As a new nurse to NZ, I presume 16 years experience in the Uk would not count and you would have to start at the bottom again??
