If however you are doing a skills assessment for skilled migration you do have to do IELTS or OET.
Oh sorry, you're right. Missed the part about the type of visa.

Even if you have nursing registration with APHRA do you still need to have IELTS for skills assessment? I suppose you do.
I am currently waiting on skills assessment result and APHRA registration at the moment. My IELTS is up mid July.....I really don't want to sit it again, but if I don't get positive result in the next week or so,,,well I'm looking at repeating it again...ughhhh

Hi Flurry. I assume you mean a 475 visa not a 457? You need to get a skills assessment done through ANMAC and I believe you will also need IELTS.

Please also note that the visa process changes on 1 July so if you have not got the required paperwork already it is no doubt too late. You will have to apply for your visa using SkillSelect after 1 July x

You don't need an IELTS for 457 which is a long business stay employer sponsored visa (up to 4 years). The 475 is a regional temporary state/family sponsored visa.

Hi, I have just started with the AGOS-40 form, and getting a certified copy of my qualifications. Does anyone know if I could get it notarized through the Australian High Commission? Solicitors can't certify them unless I'm a client.

Justices of the Peace (JPs) in the UK (GB and NI) certify or notarise for free, or charge an administrative fee of around £25, rather than charge per document like the Aus High Commission and Notaries. Ask the local court office for details of the JP service.

Ordinary UK Solicitors are not acceptable to APHRA for notary purposes.
