Hi
Does anyone know the hourly rate of pay for nurses working for agencies.
Ive been nursing for 20 years and wondered if you get payed more for the amount of years trained.
Going to Perth on a 137STNI (applied in Aug ) so still waiting to get my CO.

The flat rate for a RN level 1.9 is $30.29 plus penalties. The agency rate will be higher then this but how much will depend on the which agency.
A newly qualified nurse in Level 1.1 and then it goes up every year to 1.9. After that it's promotion to CN. Usually nurse's with your experience would start at 1.9 but get promotion quite quickly. Not to sure how that works with agency though. Have you thought about casual at one of the hospitals. It's similar to bank work but pays 20% more then the flat rate and they take casual CN's as well.

Where are there RCNs? Titles depend upon the health service location. I don't know that one.

In WA, there are RNs at Level 1, and CNs at Level 2.

Explanation of WA titles are here
