Default UK nurse moving to Florida US (CFGNS)

Hey all,

So I currently hold a Bachelors of Nursing in Nursing (Adult) from the United Kingdom, I am moving to the USA using the k1 visa end of November. Anyway I have applied via CFGNS to check my credentials so I can apply to take the NCLEX, it has been a couple of months and I am yet to of heard anything from them. Everytime I call they say there lines are currently busy etc, I've sent multiple emails and have received nothing back.

I was wondering if anyone else has used CFGNS to evaluate there credentials and how it went?

I am starting to worry and think i won't be able to nurse over there.

Thanks in advance for any replies

I am a nurse with a Bachelor's degree in Nursing here in the US and I will be taking licensure exams in the UK when I join my husband. I specialize now in Mental Health but the NCLEX is an application based exam that encompasses all areas of nursing. Maybe we can help one another out on what to expect regarding US vs UK certification. The NMC site has not been very informative as to what all the exams entail. I will gladly help explain the NCLEX process to you of you like!

Hi rachief2016,I have used CGFNS and they are very good but it takes a long time .Make sure you get your nursing school to sent the reply to CGFNS as soon as they get the letter. It can easily take up to 8 months. For more information I have found silverdragon's posts to be very helpful and down to earth.
