Waiting for a nursing job before getting a visa?
Hi there,
I am now registered as a NZ nurse. I have started applying for jobs but I notice a lot stipulate they want applicants to already have work visas. However, I am intending to apply for a skilled migrant visa so am waiting until I receive an offer of employment before I can lodge application for this visa.
Is this the general thing most overseas nurses do? I am worried employers will disregard my application as I cannot say I have insitu a work visa, not until I get a job offer can I apply for a skilled migrant visa.
I am just wondering what others experience of this has been.
Many thanks x
