6th Dec? that's a long time ago!! I'll have a nervous breakdown waiting that long! They've had mine a few days & have taken money out today....I'm waiting for the postman already! dream on........ they must get thousands of applicants, let me know when you hear something. I'm about 7 weeks behind you! Can't imagine what the waitings like for the visa, might go into hibernation for a while!!

Hi,
I'm a newbie here. What a fantastic place for information !
Anyway, I submitted my skill assessment to the ANMC on 11th Dec, received on Dec 21st. Says allow 10 weeks before enquiring! (The letter said 6-8 weeks but that had been crossed out and 10 weeks written in!)
I wondered if the "Wanted Down Under" TV program will cause hold ups in the future! I just hope I got in ahead of the rush!

Anyway, i got my acknowledgement letter yesterday and it said 6-8 weeks (hadn't been crossed out to say 10), so maybe they are catching up a bit!! fingers crossed...keep in touch and let us know of any further developments.

hello everyone still no news for me, nine weeks today since mine was acknowledged, and money taken out. funny how they're quick to do that bit of the application isnt it?! Im trying not to stress too much, and have given up running to get the post as soon as I hear it land on the mat! Visa application almost complete just need to get a few more bits certified.Still have days when I think "what on earth are we doing?" but I guess thats normal.
Will keep you all posted

Yes, I know what you mean about the money! My credit card was debited within 5 day of the Application leaving here ie 16th Dec , but my letter said it was received on the 21st Dec. I know it is not much time in the grand scheme of things but when you are counting each second.....
So, my task for this lot of days off is to start sorting through the junk in the loft for car boot saleable stuff and sort through all my book ditto. It is just small stuff but I feel it is a small step in the right direction! I pruned all the roses n stuff last week so the garden would look nice for renting the house tho I am guessing it could take so long that it will all need doing again before we get to that stage!
What are you doing to help pass the time?

well apart from spending too much time on this site, we are currently decorating. next week we plan to get a skip, throw out lots of rubbish and tidy up the garden, hope to have the house valued next week as well . Then we need to sit down do some maths and see exactly how mush dosh we have to buy a new property.

Hi Everyone
I 'm feeling a bit miffed at the moment. Have just checked my email and my confirmation of job offer letter has been sent as requested for visa. I thought I was getting a level 1:9 grade due to experience (as discussed at interview) and have been offered a 1:2 until proof from previous employers has been seen. References from my current manager have been recieved. I'm going to have to do some investigating. Plus to cap it all work want me to do a night shift tomorrow instead of an early. I didn't need the evening off to paint the town red but the time could've been better spent working on my visa.

Soooo, it has been 10 weeeks now since I got my receipt of assessment and I haven't heard owt...
I am guessing that noone else has heard either???
I may send a tentative email off to the ANMC casually enquiring - but I don't want to be a pain in the neck to them...
Anyone else got any news??
Cathy
