Advice on maternity hospital vacancies

Hi

Can anyone out there recommend a maternity hospital. I am a midwife looking for a job and willing to settle anywhere in Australia.

I am looking for a good hospital up to 2-3 hours away from any of the major cities, mainly because I would like to live in a more rural setting rather than a city centre, but still close enough when needed. So anyone got any recommendations !!
There must be some large hospitals out in the suburbs that are just what I'm looking for.

Thanks

Elaine

Chose a place anywhere in Australia that you would like to be and you will get a job as a midwife rural and remote are desperate. There is a birth centre at Mackay (think thats the right spelling) near Cairns base that might suit you or Emerald are looking for midwives or you could go to rural NT with Darwen as a base

Where are you at the moment ??

Mary (midwife in SE Queensland)

Hi

Still in Scotland. I guess I am trying to create the best bits of my life here with the best bits about life in Australia. At the moment I can walk to work and I live in a house that would cost a lot more if I lived nearer Edinburgh or Glasgow.

I'll keep looking and thanks for the info.

Have you already obtained your migration visa?

No not yet. I have sent off form to register with VNB and then plan to apply for a modified skills assesment with ANMC, then apply for a 136 visa.
Thats the plan anyway.
