Young couple moving to Queenstown... any advice would be awesome!

Young couple moving to Queenstown... any advice would be awesome!
Hi there!
My boyfriend and I are moving to Queenstown next year (hopefully September 2012). We'll be coming over on a working holiday Visa and will hopefully be living in Queenstown for about 6 months.
We are wanting to rent somewhere during this time but unsure whether to go through an estate agents or whether to try and find a holiday let that will rent out long term to us. Does anyone have any recommendations for estate agents or long-term holiday lets we could look at?
We also wondered if anyone could give us a brief idea of TV / Internet ? electricity bills per month... what should we expect to pay?
Also, any areas in Queenstown you would recommend to live in? Has anyone done a similar thing and have any extra advice?

Hello and a big welcome to the New Zealand section of BE from the Consierges in Spain.
You will find excellent information in the BE Wiki, not forgetting the Living and Moving Abroad forum that will help you, another set of great help is the permanent threads at the TOP of each forum, they are very pertinent to that particular forum and makes sensible reading.
BE Moderators deal with any problems that arise such as inappropriate posts, spammers etc, you will find their names at the bottom right hand side of each forum's index in bold font. Also there are Consierges who can support and guide you.

to our NZ forums. OH & I have just returned from a few days in Queenstown & surrounds. We had the most fabulous time. We are somewhat older than you but I'm sure you'll love it there. There are lots of young people from all over the world working in Queenstown & it's quite a vibrant place. Can't help you with your questions though, sorry.
