Ye olde chip shop magazine awards
So lets go magazine spotting and see if we can find out who has got the oldest and scabbiest magazines.
Today's reading material on offer at our chip shop was:
NZ Home & Entertaining Magazine (missing cover) August 2006
Can anyone beat that?

Pffft a mere 10 years old, that's nothing.

North Shore Hospital's outpatients department has some real golden oldies. Some of the cooking and home magazines are from 2005/6. Couldn't help wondering how many bacteria must be on them. Billions of generations have lived, reproduced, evolved and died amongst the pages over the years.

I know, that was my thoughts too. Who cold bear to touch them after being handled by who knows how many grubby mitts and a decade of being steeped in eau de sick people or greasy fish and chip laden air.

I think I'd give the 10yr old hospital magazines a miss. That's definitely a bacterial evolution, research project waiting to be done
Slightly off topic but I was recently wrapping Christmas decorations, sorting out any that werent NZ compliant, whilst romping down memory lane. I thought I'd look to see what age the oldest bauble wrapping was as I remember feeling really grown up and responsible when my mother let me help her with this job. Turns out it was rather older than I thought...
