Default WTR Visa question

Hi all
I'm currently here on a 30 month WTR visa with an accredited employer. It looks as though my employer is now being bought by another company who are not accredited, anyone have advice on how this may affect my status here? Am wondering if i should try and submit an EOI before the take over happens and hopefully get invited to apply for residency. i'm suspecting though that my app would be rejected if my employer changes to an unaccredited one as i've been told immigration often liaise regularly with the applicants employer during the process?

thanks
Nick

You have a legal obligation to inform immigration of any change that could affect your visa and the conditions applied when awarded. If your employer changes that is something immigration may have to reconsider as it could affect your eligibility for that visa.
My advice would be to tell your case officer asap and see what they say then take it from there.

Thanks both, figured I'd need to speak with immigration but thought I'd see what people had to offer here before approaching them, cheers, will give them a call next week
