Sounds ace! I used to live in Nether Edge and drink down the Broadfield.

The Broadfield , I've had a few many a pints down there in the evening. I worked in Abbeydale for 12 months and often frequently visited there on Friday nights for karaoke (unless there was a football match on the tele)

Beer was ok but not a patch on The New Barrack Tavern - oh the Erdinger and local ales they had on tap there were beautiful. Not recommended to have too many mind, never learned my lesson

Kelham Island Tav, Fat Cat and Sheaf are great pubs too

Saying that, I'm a big fan of Pomeroys, Smash Palace and Volstead here in Chch

Both were pretty decent boozers

Kelham Island Tavern - how could I forget that boozer. The first pub in the morning after a full english on matchday. Few beers there before moving onto the New Barrack Tavern. I think that pub actually won a few CAMRA awards, the choice of ales was so good. One of the pubs that used to have Ringwood on tap during the Real Ale event..

Used to love going into the beer garden outside in the summer as well.
