2) Holland (used to live here and was there when they won Euro 88 after knocking us out and the party was fantastic).
3) Really think its to hard this time, Spain look good but you know Brazil, Italy, Germany will always perform and if Messi fires then who knows what the Argies can do. Think England have pretty weak squad not enough depth and defence to slow so with that in mind I will go for England to win

lol
you egg chasers probably don't have enough brain cells left to get organised - you have already missed the sales of pool and team packs though. We thought about the N Harbour one but decided it was far too expensive for me and the two boys, as the eldest was going to see the All Blacks from age 6 and the other one will be 6 by then.
International rugby is great to watch in NZ but not at the prices that are being asked for the RWC.
Would have got tickets for the Trinations/Welsh games at Eden Park/Hamilton but we're back in the UK next month.....

Re: World Cup
England obviously
NZ I guess but sadly they won't be lasting long, but should get a point this time.
To win though, it has to be Brazil.
Could be England v Germany in the second round though we're in a weak group and we should win and avoid them. With alittle luck I think we'll get to the semis and be knocked out by Brazil.

World cup reporting in NZ?
The world cup is underway. New Zealand is represented for the second time, last time was 28 years ago. Many people say that it is unfair that countries such as Scotland, Ireland and many others which are certainly better than NZ are not there but NZ is. That is a load of whinging IMO, NZ can't help their geographic location and they qualified by beating an Asian team.
However, the fact is that NZ is probably the weakest team in the tournament. The margins are narrow though and therein lies the chance for NZ that everyone is bound to underestimate them and they have no pressure whatsoever as everyone expects them to go out crashing.
Has the competition been noted or hyped about in NZ at all? NZ is better known for prowess in other sports but I'm sure that the average person in NZ knows that their country is in the world cup. The viewing times of the matches are so in NZ that only the most ardent supporters of the team will watch the matches, or are they broadcast on the NZ-telly?
