Working in Wellington
 
I moved to wellington in the hope of getting a job as a truck driver (class 4), i have unable to find any work in this field so far.

Therfore i have taken a temp office job till i can find a trucking job.

If anyone knows of companies looking perhpas you pm me.

www.seek.co.nz lists a few vacancies, including one with Join Retko Haulage Ltd . Money on offer looks p-poor though.

Take care, don't pay of those "agencies" to find you a job.

You may have done this already - obviously but I think you will also need convert to NZ driving licence as they have to have special tests for the heavy goods driving, so this may be putting employers off. I know someone said you have to retake test or medicals periodically to stay valid and its not cheap.
