Default Working Holiday Visa processing time

What is the rough processing time for the NZ working holiday visa? I need to leave applying as late as possible but don't wanna leave it too late or I'm in trouble.

Thanks, I looked on their website but it seemed to list every visa apart from the working holiday visa

So I just applied for the 23 month visa and then realised after my medical is older than 3 months (its about 6 months old now) and so I wont be able to use it and wont be able to afford to get a new one. Once my visa is approved can I change the duration of my visa on my account? I'd like to be able to email them right now and request they change the visa length detail but as usual it's impossible to find an email address!

Your visa won't be approved in it's current format as your medical evidence does not meet the criteria for the 23 month WHV. Highly likely Immigration will just decline it and you'd lose the processing fee and have to start all over again. Unlikely Immigration will contact you to see if you want to change things around so the 12 month duration WHV is considered instead. It's not how they work. You'll be extremely lucky to get a call to tell you your medical is too old, but amazing things happen sometimes!!!

Your only option is to contact Immigration directly ASAP. All you can do is ring the premium rate customer services number in the hope you can get a message through to the case officer who would deal with your visa application and cross your fingers that they change it to the 12 month WHV instead.

Mabe if there's an online help function via your INZ online account you can email or send a message in addition to the phone call.

Good luck.
