Work Visa & Redundancy
 

Has anyone been in the situation where they are here on a job specific work visa and then lose that job (in my case via redundancy)?

I have my PR application in but if I can't work I might starve to death before that comes through!!

I know I can look for another job and apply for another work visa (oh deep joy, more money to NZIS!), but I have been job hunting for months with no luck and in the mean time I will technically have no visa to be here and be unable to earn any money.
