Work visa
 

I am in the process of moving to New Zealand. I have secured my nursing registration and have been offered a job. I am in the process of gathering all the essential documents to apply for my visa. My question is this, am I am able to apply for my visa while in New Zealand, I’d like to come across just now and get some time seeing places before I start work. I have secured a place to stay. I‘m applying for the Long term skills shortage visa which will be sponsored by my new employer.

You can come over on a visitors visa for 6months, dont forget you will need a nzeta to enter, you would need to show that you intend to leave so have either an outgoing flight or show you have enough money to buy a ticket to leave, you will also have to show you have enough funds to support yourself whilst you are here on a visitors visa,
