twas a very poor summer up here, anyone notice the lack of cicadas?
That the fauna talking (or not).....
But then we get lots of daylight in winter up here in Auckland, just done a 5 mile walk with the old man and if it had been December in UK we'd have started well in the dark - here we just about finished in the dark.
IMO more NZ houses are damp and chilly than UK ones, per capita, so people will feel colder in them and that's more to do with design, construction, maintenance and a poor building act than it is the fault of the unfortunate folks that have to live in them.

Perhaps the "whinging pom" label is well deserved....perhaps if you are born British and are or are not living in Britain and not able to make it so exactly the same then being British you have immortal rights to moan about it. We went to Spain made them open 'Real English' pubs, serve 'Full English Breakfast' then when it got so much like Britain looked elsewhere for the next target.......

It's mild in Cambridge- no crying windows this morning (thank goodness!) and haven't lit the fire yet. Sat up in bed reading with just a vest on.

Chin up everyone - I saw at my local garden centre that strawberries are on sale for planting ready for early cropping!! Probably not a good idea for those of you still under snow!

You should perhaps consider an update thread. Did your OH pass his exams in the end? Pretty sure it was your OH I'm thinking of.
Still got dogs?
