Re: Windproof brolly
Windproof brolly in Wellington ???? ................. yeah right !!!!!!!!!!

Re: Windproof brolly
For any would-be Wellingtonians alarmed at reading this, there are canopies everywhere in Wellington city - so it is possible to walk along in the rain without actually getting particularly wet. This is just as well as I'm sure any umbrella here would be broken in a few seconds if out in a gust (I've never bothered even trying one out as all umbrellas seem to break on me on first use)....a rainproof coat with a hood is your best bet really.

Re: Windproof brolly
There's always tourists' brollies in the bins on the harbour front on a breezy day!

Re: Windproof brolly
I used to live in Peterhead (Scotland) and an umbrella would end up looking like a huge wineglass on a stick over your head.........haven't bought an umbrella since living there
