Re: Who's already clutched their hotties - 'fess up!
I've not been cold so far at home of an evening, although I have worn long trousers, cardigans and socks for work on a number of occasions during the height of summer.
I am not much impressed with the dark mornings though.
They're back to advertising heat pumps already on TV, so we're definitely on the downward slope.

Oooooh, it's so depressing
Last night we took step number one and swapped the 100% cotton duvets for the feather ones, which was necessary cos we kept waking up cold. Next step will be PJs for the kids and eventually shutting the windows at night.
The fire will NOT be lit until May. I am living the dream where winter is only May, June, July and August and maybe a little of September.

Sometimes I wish I was at that certain age, so that I could have my very own tropical heatwave.

I've been supplementing iodine this last week - I have a nice little furnace going on inside me now. If you do supplement it take it with selenium which is a companion nutrient.

I have had hotties throughout the summer on the odd night here and there, put the feather duvet back on, then the undertile heating in the bathroom, then we had a mini heatwave, took the feather duvet off and put the comforter back on, refused to switch off the undertile heating cause when I do it will get cold again for sure, so it is bermuda in my bathroom at the moment. Nice when you have a trip to the loo in the middle of the night! Not worn many summer clothes all summer actually
Oh there was one day I recall that we had the air conditioning on, seems a long way away now though! Must have been a hot nor west day!

Nearly a couple of months on now. How many more tootsies are getting the hot water bottle treatment of an evening or night?

Better half said to me last night, it's winter!
I said how do you know? and she said, well it's toasty in here with the fire burning but is f'ing freezing everywhere else in the house and when you go to put the dogs out for a pee, they just look at you and say, narr, I'll hold on thanks!

Must confess we're playing around with the wood burner on occasion too
