White Island smokin'....?
 

Just Google Earthed White Island, and it's showing a big plume:blink:
Has something happened, or could someone tell me when was the last smoking session?

I don't know about White Island but we google earthed our house about 6 months ago and it had a boat in our next door neighbours garden that was from the previous neighbours who moved about 3-4 years ago...so not very up-to-date for where i live...so may be the same for NZ

I'm gonna go and have a look myself now

We visited last year, and although it's active, it wasn't smoking.
We saw a change in GE when my house (evenually) reflected the change of my car, so some bits must get updated.

Nearly always a-smokin'. (Unlike Am Loolah at the mo.)

I thought it was steam - ie tide goes down, hot rocks exposed, tide comes up - lots of steam created. Could be wrong though.
