Bring em, don't worry a out it. Sockets are on 20A radial circuits, or should be with the cable supplying the circuit being 2.5mm rated at 25A.

But without larding on about it like a wise possum,
all I can say that in my humble opinion, as an electrician & one who thankfully brought his condensing tumble dryer with him, it works.
And dryers are bloody expensive here

Thanks in advance.
When we made the move we brought a Maytag drier US manufactured for the export market to run on 240v. The electrician hooked it up but found that it began to melt the power point (he was unfamiliar with this US brand that dries clothes much faster than the Kiwi whiteware). So, the electrician ran a 15A wire from the fuse box, installed a 15A breaker in the box and attached 15A power point. 15 years later and it all is still going strong (whereas the Kiwi drier in our kid's apartment died after five years).

Figure about $200 for the parts and service if your drier requires it. See http://www.accesscomms.com.au/refere...ugVariants.htm for specifics on what the plugs look like.
