Yep, that looks like a sofa to me. Harvey Norman has thousands of them.

if you wait a year or two the Ikea store should be open in Auckland - else you may want to try big save furniture.

I read in the Herald that Ikea had no plans now as they had been turned down for the site they wanted as it was going to be too popular and cause too much traffic congestion.

Would you like two in navy blue with a spare set of loose covers - 3 seaters though (and not new - pre-loved?!) I'll sell ours - I want new too!

Yes, it's quite a decent sized store too.

There also used to be a company in NZ that specialised in importing Ikea stuff not sure if they sell couches though

nothing - want to know something...I've never had a new sofa!! My first one was from my mum and dads and this one was second hand - I just want a new one this time!!

Nerine we searched for that company - seems its gone out of business.
I feel a wee trip to Melbourne coming on....sometime in the next year or so!!!

Only in NZ would a store not open because it was 'too popular' .

Traffic congestion? wasn't a problem in Hong Kong.

Ah well, when all else fails there's always the great Ozzie icon 'Freedom Furniture'

......or Harvey Norman
