Where to get Married in New Zealand????
 

Hi

We are currently planning our 5 week trip to New Zealand. Will be there during Feb / March 2010.

We are planning on getting married whilst we are there but have no clue where to do this. Would really like to get married on a beautiful beach or somewhere with a beautiful beach backdrop, ideally away from any crowds.

Was just wondering if anyone could suggest a beautiful place to do this. Will just be the 2 of us and celebrant and witneses if we need them.

Congratulations! Here are a few ideas:

Last year I saw a lovely wedding on the beach at the base of Mount Maunganui (Tauranga). My boss recently got married on Waiheki island (near Auckland). Vinyards are popular e.g Mills Reef - Tauranga; Tirohanga - Martinborough (nr Wellington)

We are getting married at lake tekapo in feb it,s stunning do a google on "the church of the good shepard"

We got married on the beach at Kare Kare West Auckland...it was beautiful and we had a wonderful celebrant....good luck!

I got married at a friends house ( mansion!) on the top of a hill out Helensville way. So easy to arrange too.
