Calm down! You can still consider the emigration!! you can get beef and chicken Oxo cubes - in some enlightened stores (mostly catering for vegetarian Indians), you can even find vegetable oxo cubes. But not lamb. Bizzarely enough. Possibly because they think they've shipped it all offshore!

Never heard of Comptons Gravy Salt - think you're on your own there!

Okay. DON'T COME!..................

Oxo Cubes are Not the End of the World..........:curse:

Why don't you eat/cook something else then

Tonight I made my favorite “fancy dinner” for my younger brother.

Crumbed baked (Tarahiki) fish, coleslaw, beetroots, creamy mashed potatoes and (herb crumbed) roasted kumara & pumpkin -----> I cooked everything from scratch

You can have a nice & healthy meal without damn Oxo Cubes...

That sounds lovely!

It was my turn to cook tonight and we had tuna melt on toast?! Not an Oxo cube in sight!

I always make stock from what ever is going but sometimes you need an instant hit. I love cooking and have never met an animal I wouldn't eat

There was a photo of a rather delicious looking duck on here the other day

You are sooo right -

For the benfits of Crap Coffee who I didn't mean to upset/offend/confuse -

There was an old lady who swallowed a fly.
I dunno why she swallowed that fly,
Perhaps she'll die.

There was an old lady who swallowed a spider,
That wriggled and jiggled and wiggled inside her.
She swallowed the spider to catch the fly.
But I dunno why she swallowed that fly -
Perhaps she'll die.

There was an old lady who swallowed a bird;
How absurd, to swallow a bird!
She swallowed the bird to catch the spider
That wriggled and jiggled and wiggled inside her.
She swallowed the spider to catch the fly.
But I dunno why she swallowed that fly -
Perhaps she'll die

There was an old lady who swallowed a cat.
Imagine that, she swallowed a cat.
She swallowed the cat to catch the bird ...
She swallowed the bird to catch the spider
That wriggled and jiggled and wiggled inside her.
She swallowed the spider to catch the fly.
But I dunno why she swallowed that fly
Perhaps she'll die

There was an old lady who swallowed a dog.
What a hog! To swallow a dog!
She swallowed the dog to catch the cat...
She swallowed the cat to catch the bird ...
She swallowed the bird to catch the spider
That wriggled and jiggled and wiggled inside her.
She swallowed the spider to catch the fly.
But I dunno why she swallowed that fly
Perhaps she'll die.

There was an old lady who swallowed a goat.
Just opened her throat and swallowed a goat!
She swallowed the goat to catch the dog ...
She swallowed the dog to catch the cat.
She swallowed the cat to catch the bird ...
She swallowed the bird to catch the spider
That wriggled and jiggled and wiggled inside her.
She swallowed the spider to catch the fly.
But I dunno why she swallowed that fly
Perhaps she'll die.

There was an old lady who swallowed a cow.
I don't know how she swallowed a cow!
She swallowed the cow to catch the goat... She swallowed the goat to catch the dog...

There was an old lady who swallowed a horse -
She's dead, of course.
