I'm applying for my WHV soon but i'm not sure when to actually submit it.
I am planning on going beginning of March (flights are cheaper and i'll have a little bit more money)

Should i apply at the beginning or middle of Feb?

If i apply at the beginning of Feb and it goes through quickly, will my 12 months start straight away or when i enter NZ?

The WHV can be processed in as little as 48hrs and your year does not begin until you enter NZ. You passport will be stamped, on arrival, with a date by which you have to leave.

Once you get your WHV, you have 12 months to use it but it doesn't actually start til you enter the country.

thanks, do you have to get there within so many days/months? I have looked on the immigration website but no mention of this info.

When you are issued your WHV you have 12 months from that date to get over to NZ, then on entry your visa is activated.
