You lot wouldn't like a word with my husband, about selling cars, would you?

Costing us a fortune to ship out his beloved car. We have got four kids and a dog and he insists on taking a two seater!?!? The kids are not happy about having to run behind!!

Might have some sympathy there. What car is it? Who has the kids when you're both in it? Are you allowed to drive?

Mercedes SL500, driven it once when he was away - ran out of fuel!

Second time I went anywhere near it was in our People carrier - reversed into it!!

As for being allowed in it...................!!

Yep danny.f Top Gear is here but its a series behind. They also show repeats of the shows that are from a couple of years ago. They really are such a bunch of piss takers they crack me up.

I dont care,I'd watch anything. They could show cars from 10 yrs ago,still cant afford em.

Jeremy and crew of course!! They test drive way too many really expensive cars though dont they. The last series the UK have just shown has some really funny bits in it too.

i sold my car (focus estate) to my dad (he needed a new one, which was handy) so i could drive it to the airport, and use it to run around before we left. We used 3 cars to get us (me, hubby, 2 kids, mum, dad, FIL, MIL, & BIL) to airport - the poor old girls blubbed like babies, the old boys laughed at them!

We got collected at AKL by OH's new boss..... I have no idea how we got all of us and all the suitcases etc into his Falcon..... I kept saying we would have to get a taxi as well but the men kept trying and finally we were all squashed in.... think we had suitcases on our laps though.

My Smart car got sold to a lady who lives right opposite my parents... apparently she still loves it now and prefers driving it to her Porche. Cant remember where the Evo went.... but remember the guy bought it as his original one had got nicked.

We all enjoy top gear too- very entertaining.Will never own any car they test drive though!

Oh don't know what we'll do re cars.
We were lucky in 96 when we went to Sing. I sold mine, used hubbys car to say goodbyes then to airport-then he took us to Heathrow early, drove it back to his office in Sunbury and taxi'd back to airport.
Will not have parents at airport- did that last time - OMG it was so hard! Now they are 10 yrs older (in their 70s)and they say things like we might never see you again!

BTW were planning to flog my Almera in November when the insurance runs out - not planning on re-newing for only 3months. Haven't worked out what to do with renault yet - bonfire sounds nice tho.

Posh and Saab?? dont go well together.

We sold 6 months before leaving and got 2 old bangers to motor around in on the proviso the dealer took them back at an agreed lower price (£1500 less for each - which worked out cheaper than hiring and less hassle than waiting to the last minute).

Had nothing but trouble with my 93 company convertible so used to give it to my secretary and hacked around in her avensis.

Rentals for the last few weeks it is then. Besides which I'd alerady decided no family at airport - too traumatic (for them, not us, we can't wait to go!0 We have no friends to say goodbye to so no grand tours needed!
