Sat on top of a horse looking over from Mt. Pirongia towards Ruapehu and Whakapapa as they literally gleamed in all their snowiness. It was weird. We were sat there surrounded by greenery and into the distance was a big pavlova and a marshmallow! beautiful.

I havnt managed to get out riding this weekend as OH was on call and I couldnt get a babysitter... I'm off there tomorrow to pay my livery though and give my horsey some treats. I hope to ride next weekend.... whilst I'm still able to get my leg over before I get too fat!

Heres a few sunset pictures taken from our deck during the summer spring and summer months... arnt they lovely. Gonna miss these views when we move.

Its a lovely day in Christchurch. Its 13c but feels warmer as there is no breeze and lovely blue skies. I was just wearing a fleese yesterday and was very warm, it didn't get dark till after 6pm - dont get that mid-winter in the UK, as I remember its dark by 4.30 - 5pm easy.... We have those lovely sunsets too here, its amazing in NZ also at night when you look at the sky - milions and millions of stars shine down .... its lovely !!

resident misery guts here.....and proud of it!
Attached some pictures taken at 9 am this morning from Mairangi bay, shows the beach, Murrays bay headland (I live up there somewhere) and Rangitoto island.........enjoy!
