Default Whats made you smile lately?

The question is in the title. What was the last thing that made you smile

It could be a little smile A cheeky smile or a big toothy grin

I spotted a 4x4 driving around Dunedin last week, the spare wheel cover had a big Arsenal badge printed on it and underneath the word 'GUNNA'.

I chortled

As it's Spring, any of the local school kids who have a music lesson that day take their guitar to school.

Inevitably it's on a strap and they strum it as they walk along. It's like having a wandering minstrel walking towards me.

Also, if a youngster has a ball under their arm or even bouncing it in front of them it will inevitably be an oval rugby ball. I've seen kids use an old shoe as a kicking tee.

I had a toothy grin last night! a family member who is 25 years old asked me if Christmas was the same time in NZ as it is in England. seriously. I asked why and she said because it will be summer time here in December and you can't have Xmas in the summer! . She was serious so my grin was through gritted teeth!

It reminds me of a joke I heard from a situation comedy years ago:

'They have Christmas in the summer in New Zealand. Well, I went there and they don't, they have it on December 25th like everyone else !'

A patient of my was talking about a book he had read. He said something like this... Spring is upon us, the trees are in bud, birds are making nests, gardeners are tending to weeds and if you listen carefully you can hear the gentle sounds of chiropractors rubbing their hands together with glee.

A nation that aren't at work making money?

My brother said he hoped it would be a white Christmas this year, I said he was a racist.

My cousin made me smile today, showing me a ton of photos from her recent trip to New Zealand. It was a trip for her to visit a friend and celebrate finishing four years of university. She had such lovely pictures, and had such a wonderful time, and it was clear she had fallen in love with NZ and the people she met. Her enthusiasm was infectious and she can't wait to go back

We have a wee black hen called Clara. She was left abandoned by some tenants hereabouts. She would never roost at night with our other hens but took up palatial residence in what was our duckling house.

Today I found 2 wee eggs in there .
