Re: What's for dinner?
I would like to eat tonight a whole pile of creamy, buttery mashed potatoes with a fried egg on top, tons of black pepper and perhaps a side serving of tomato ketchup-whether that will happen or not I don't know.
Like Bevs I also am sick of cooking. I cook for Him but I normally do with lettuce & crackers. Occasionally I'll treat myself to a tin of marrowfat peas -open tin, drain water off, douse with salt & pepper, eat from tin cold with a fork. No cooking and no washing up (if you lick the fork clean)

I've got a mystery takeaway It's great here. Just no idea what the food is sometimes. Looks like a pork something in soy sauce, rice, and mystery veggies.

New Zealand has no eggs . Only iggs.
I scrambled a couple just this morning with some mulk.
For dinner this evening.
Chicken with brie and redcurrant & orange sauce. The oranges and redcurrants are from the garden. The chicken is an unknown chicken to us & not one of our girls.
I have also made a self saucing orange and almond pudding. We do have an almond tree but it would be too early for almonds and in any case the likelihood is that there would be just one almond as the tree is still young.

It's my birthday so we went out for a Chinese buffet. Ate too much as it was really nice. Don't want to see another sesame toast for a while though.
