What would make NZ better?
As suggested by Jennifer45
NOT in any order of importance..obviously some are way more important than others.
Better driving!!
Better roads..more dual carriageways.
Less top of the world for bad stuff..child abuse, domestic violence..carbon foot stuff.
A plane that could do europe in under 5 hours!!
More of the people I love and miss here.
An M and S...that's Kate.
Better wages relative to housing costs.
Sainsburys..for their salad cream and baked beans (for me).
Maoris not a sub class..better relations/understanding with the latter...hopefully the new party holds the Key to that...pun intended.
Stronger law, order and punishment.

Companies should be made to display prices on their websites! grrrr : It's so flipppin' obvious that they just want to reel ye in!
I agree with your points on the child abuse etc and your point about the Maori but we've just been sitting outside watching and listening to the birds and I don't know how we could have any more! They're a commonplace miracle (My phrase for the day!)

Tu parle francais aussi..mais c'est encroyable..ma mere est francais!!! Elle etait un proffesuer de francais..et anglais et italien (sp)!!

Je n'ai pas fait à tous les français et j'aimerais bien obtenir mes mains sur certains Clotted Cream pour aller avec les scones et de Jam! Cependant, mon tour de taille est mieux de ne pas avoir elle! Et j'ai utilisé un traducteur français pour le typage de cette place - ou canny intelligent!

Mois aussi. Dans un petit ville par le nom de Woodville (pres de Palmy) nous avons une cafe servir exactament la meme chose,,,,,,,creme the de devon..I thought bloody hell!!!! Could be in Tourquay!! Merde alors!!! Nous changons cette thread..le thread francais????

It's heavily skewed because of certain ethnic groups, it's probably lower than the UK amongst Europeans. As for carbon footprint, who cares, it is all a sham anyway this environmental mumbo jumbo.

I know it appears bad, but the Maori/European relationship is still one that is one of the best in the world between indigenous peoples and the colonisers. In fact Maoris have it far better than any others IMO.

I agree. I can't understand the problem with TV ads though - get yourself a HDD recorder and watch everything in time-shift. You can skip the ads, and pause when you need to get up and let the dog out etc. I never watch adverts

Possibly is due to it being an opinion.
Australian TV is absolutely dire, it really is terrible.
Asian TV is full of Asian shows unsurprisingly, or satellite channels showing various US series
European TV is terrible, as is South American. They seem to love variety shows.
It's pretty sad but NZ TV is one of the closest you get to UK TV in that it actually shows a lot of UK content and has UK comedies.

ABC and SBS aren't dire at all - they're rather good actually. Can't stand the commercial channels though.

Je ne parle pas bien Francaise- nearly 50 years since I learnt it at school, aber ich spreche deutch ein bischen besser. Ich werde eine student fur drei monaten in Hamburg.
Italian is an altogether different matter. I would love to have retired there had circumstances been different. I love Italy and everything Italian. Especially the men but at my age I have to make do with the shoes and handbags. C'est la vie!

Better driving!! I don't really see any evidence of crap driving but I'm a totally excellent, stick to the speed limit, always sober, usually on country roads sort of driver
Better roads..more dual carriageways. Another one I don't get! I went for a long drive today (avoiding house viewers and too rainy for a walk) deep in the boonies and all the roads were top quality
